Alice Pezzarossa

PhD student

I obtained a Master degree in Ecobiology form University of Rome “La Sapienza” and I’m a PhD student at Tuscia University of Viterbo in collaboration with University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

My research focuses on the detection and conservation of hotspost of intraspecific genetic diversity in the Italian peninsula. Using both spatial and genetic data, and considering terrestrial vertebrates endemic of the Italian peninsula, I’m studying the processes that cause the origin of these hotspots, focusing also on the effects of future climate change.

I’m interested in biogeography, macroecology and evolutionary biology and I collaborated as fieldwork assistant for projects of monitoring of birds migration, census and capture of ungulates and capture of amphibians.
