Francesca Cosentino

PhD student

I obtained a Bachelor Degree in Natural Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Ecobiology (2018) at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

Currently, I am a PhD student in Environmental and Evolutionary Biology.
The title of my PhD project is “Traits ecology and conservation of bats in a global change context” and the main objective of my research is to evaluate the impacts of global changes (climate- and land-use changes) on all species of bats in Africa considering their ecology, distribution, and ecosystem services they provide.

I’m interested in conservation biology, macroecology, biogeography, and animal ecology with a particular focus on sampling methods and analysis of bats’ ecology and spatial distribution.
